What does 2 Art Studio create?

Custom hand-carved sculptures, high-relief wall art, monuments, LED sculptural lamps, props and set pieces, seasonal installations and custom woodwork. Every piece is designed for the client and made in our studio.

Do you work outside Westchester County?

Yes. Our studio is in Westchester County and we work regularly in New York City, the Hudson Valley, Long Island, Connecticut and New Jersey. For clients anywhere else in the United States, we crate and ship finished work and can travel to install it.

How long does a custom sculpture take?

It depends on size and complexity. A lamp or relief panel is a much shorter project than a monument or a multi-piece installation. Every proposal includes a dated schedule covering design approval, fabrication and delivery, so you know your timeline before work begins.

What materials do you use?

We choose materials for where the piece will live: hand-carved foam with hard resin and fiberglass coatings, clay, cast composites, wood, steel armatures and integrated LED lighting. Outdoor work is sealed and engineered for weather.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. Send a few details, a sketch or reference photos and the space it is going into. We reply with questions, a ballpark range and next steps at no cost.

Can you make a piece from my sketch, photo or logo?

Yes, most of our work is commissioned this way. We turn your reference into concept drawings for approval before carving begins, and refine size, finish and lighting with you along the way.

We are a sculptor and a builder working side by side in Westchester County. Wazir carves the forms; Franklin engineers the structures, frames and installs. Together we take a piece from first sketch to the moment it is lit on your wall, in your lobby or along a park path.

Every project is made to order: a magnolia floor lamp for a Scarsdale living room, a carved ZOO entrance sign, a six-foot illuminated rose for an event, a herd of sculptures for a park installation. No catalog, no mass production.

Why it's carved by hand

Relief is drawn with shadow.

Move across the panel. Every ridge we carve is planned for the way light will rake over it: a gallery spotlight, a window at dusk, or the LEDs we build into the piece itself.

Machine-cut panels flatten under light. Hand-carved relief keeps undercuts, varied depth and crisp edges, so the image changes as you walk past it. It is the difference between decoration and a work of art.

Two makers, one studio.

2 Art Studio is the partnership of a sculptor and a builder. Wazir shapes the art; Franklin engineers the structure that carries it. Every piece leaves the studio with both of their hands on it.

Wazir

A sculptor with more than 20 years in the visual arts, Wazir has created large-scale sculptures, monuments, murals and immersive installations shown in museums, galleries and public spaces in Thailand, Dubai, Pakistan, Canada and the United States. Formally trained in Fine Arts and Visual Arts, he works across realism, hyper-realism, abstract and contemporary styles, and received the International Young Emerging Artist Award in Italy in 2019.

Franklin brings more than nine years of industrial and residential construction, with a focus on precision, structural integrity and finish work. In recent years he has specialized in scenic carpentry, fabricating and assembling complex structures and immersive environments. He leads the framing, armatures and installation that let our art stand safely in a living room, a storefront or a public park.
