Custom Hand-Carved Sculptures

Figurative and animal sculpture carved and modeled by hand, from tabletop pieces to life-size horses.

Every sculpture starts as a drawing and a conversation, then moves to an armature and is carved, modeled and finished by hand in our studio. Wazir has sculpted realism, hyper-realism and abstract work for collectors and public spaces on three continents; that same discipline goes into a single commission for your home or a series for a hotel lobby.

  • Life-size animal and figurative sculpture
  • Portrait busts and heads
  • Garden and courtyard sculpture for Westchester estates
  • Indoor and outdoor finishes, sealed for weather

High-Relief Sculptural Art

Carved wall panels where the image rises out of the surface, with optional built-in light.

High relief is our signature. We carve deep, layered panels in which a lion, a peacock or a tree of life steps out of the wall, and we can build warm LED light behind the surface so the piece glows at night. Panels are framed, finished and ready to hang, or built into a wall as an architectural feature.

  • Statement wall panels for living rooms, lobbies and restaurants
  • Backlit and illuminated relief
  • UV-reactive relief murals for venues and attractions
  • Signage carved in relief (zoos, parks, brands)

Monument Design & Fabrication

Large-scale figures and monuments engineered to stand outdoors for decades.

From a memorial figure to a towering lakeside statue, we design, engineer and fabricate monuments that hold up outdoors. Franklin's structural and framing background means the internal armature, base and anchoring are built as carefully as the surface you see.

  • Commemorative and memorial sculpture
  • Municipal and public art commissions
  • Campus, corporate and estate monuments
  • Structural armatures, bases and site installation

Flexible LED Sculptural Lamps

Floor lamps, sconces and light sculptures that are art first and lighting second.

Our lighting line grew out of the relief work: flowers that bloom on spiraling LED stems, an owl that glows through pierced feathers, stone forms split by a seam of light. Each lamp is made to order in the size and color temperature your room needs, up to six-foot statement pieces for lobbies and events.

  • Magnolia and rose floor lamps
  • Sculptural wall sconces
  • Illuminated stone-form and lava panels
  • Oversized light sculptures for hospitality and events

Prop & Set Design

Scenic builds, themed props and display sculpture for productions, retail and attractions.

We build the pieces people photograph: a giant croissant above a bakery door, a whale suspended over a showroom, a talking tree for a themed set. Franklin's scenic carpentry and Wazir's sculpting let us take a prop from sketch to finished, transport-ready object.

  • Storefront and window-display sculpture
  • Themed attractions and immersive environments

Custom Artistic Commissions

One-of-a-kind pieces designed around your idea, space and budget.

Bring a sketch, a photograph, a logo or just a feeling. We develop concept drawings, agree on size, materials and lighting, and then make the piece. Past commissions range from a fire-ringed horse relief to a white classical relief of a sea god.

  • Concept sketches and renderings before we build
  • Pieces sized to a specific wall or room
  • Gifts, family crests and brand marks in relief
  • Collaboration with interior designers and architects

Custom Woodwork & Cabinetry

Built-in closets, cabinetry and sculpted feature walls, finished to gallery standard.

The same hands that frame our sculptures build furniture-grade cabinetry. We design and install custom closets and built-ins for Westchester homes, and sculpted stone-effect fireplace surrounds and feature walls that turn a room into a destination.

Custom Seasonal Sculptures

Holiday reliefs, light tunnels and seasonal installations for homes, towns and venues.

We design seasonal work that people travel to see: illuminated reindeer and polar-bear reliefs, Santa's sleigh in carved gold, walk-through light tunnels and iridescent tree sculptures. Pieces are built to be stored and reinstalled year after year.

  • Holiday relief panels and window displays
  • Walk-through light tunnels
  • Halloween and fall installations
  • Seasonal programs for towns, malls and hotels
FAQ

Questions we hear most often.

Can't find your answer? Call (917) 250-9629, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm.

What does 2 Art Studio create?

Custom hand-carved sculptures, high-relief wall art, monuments, LED sculptural lamps, props and set pieces, seasonal installations and custom woodwork. Every piece is designed for the client and made in our studio.

Do you work outside Westchester County?

Yes. Our studio is in Westchester County and we work regularly in New York City, the Hudson Valley, Long Island, Connecticut and New Jersey. For clients anywhere else in the United States, we crate and ship finished work and can travel to install it.

How long does a custom sculpture take?

It depends on size and complexity. A lamp or relief panel is a much shorter project than a monument or a multi-piece installation. Every proposal includes a dated schedule covering design approval, fabrication and delivery, so you know your timeline before work begins.

What materials do you use?

We choose materials for where the piece will live: hand-carved foam with hard resin and fiberglass coatings, clay, cast composites, wood, steel armatures and integrated LED lighting. Outdoor work is sealed and engineered for weather.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. Send a few details, a sketch or reference photos and the space it is going into. We reply with questions, a ballpark range and next steps at no cost.

Can you make a piece from my sketch, photo or logo?

Yes, most of our work is commissioned this way. We turn your reference into concept drawings for approval before carving begins, and refine size, finish and lighting with you along the way.
